Unlike any other land within a theme park, the shops at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter stay completely true to the theme. Looking for sunscreen, batteries, or a bottle of Mountain Dew? Forget it.
But if you are looking for Quidditch gear, golden snitches, or flying brooms, you're in luck. Only those and other items that would be for sale in the "real" Hogsmeade Village can be purchased in Universa's Harry Potter theme parks. The following are ten of the most unusual items found in the shops at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Omnioculars

In the Harry Potter books and films, Omnioculars are used like binoculars to magnify viewing. Unlike binoculars, however, they can also replay and slow down action. The actual Omnioculars at the Harry Potter theme park are more like ViewMasters (remember those?) and come pre-loaded with scenes from the Potter movies. For sale at Dervish and Banges.

Remembrall

In the Harry Potter books and films, a Remembrall glows red when one of the characters holding it forgets something and changes to clear when the character remembers the forgotten thought. The actual Remembralls for sale at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter only glow when users press a button. And instead of being powered by magic, they require batteries. Bertie Bott's Every-Flavour Beans

Harry Potter fans with a sweet tooth—as well as a sour, salty, bitter, and plain weird tooth—will want to sample these jellybeans-gone-crazy treats. Among the many flavours are sausage, onion, pizza, and gravy. Yum! For sale at Honeydukes.

Extendable Ears

One of the inventions of the Weasley twins, extendable ears, which are ears on the end of long tubes, allow users to snoop on what people in the distance are saying. The FBI is reportedly quite interested in conducting some research on these items. For sale at Zonko's.

All kinds of Quidditch gear is for sale at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, including quaffles, golden snitches, and bludger bat and ball sets. Without the ability to fly, however, it's questionable how much use the gear would get among muggles. For sale at Dervish and Banges.

Owl Post Postmark (Psst. This one is free!)

One of the most unusual items available at the Harry Potter Theme Park is absolutely free. The clerk at the Owl Post will gladly postmark your postcard—or any item, such as a piece of paper—with the official Hogsmeade stamp. Postcards bearing the Hogsmeade postmark would make quite a conversation piece for recipients. And you can mail postcards (or other mail) right at the Owl Post.

Chocolate Frogs

These are milk chocolate treats in the shape of frogs. We suppose they are no stranger than chocolate bunnies. Each frog comes with a trading card of famous witches and wizards. For sale at Honeydukes.

Hedwig Owl Puppet

Harry Potter's pet Snowy Owl can be yours—or at least a puppet version of it. The lifelike reproduction of Hedwig includes a moveable head and owl sound effects that can be triggered. For sale at Filch's Emporium.

Wands

Ollivanders wand shop is an attraction in its own right at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Guests are treated to a short presentation in which a wizard/clerk demonstrates how "the wand chooses the wizard." Note the dust that's collected on the wand box in the "ancient" shop.
After the presentation, guests can browse in Ollivanders and check out the many varieties of wands for sale. It's not necessary to experience the demonstration to purchase a wand. (Lines for the short presentation can get quite long.) Guests can also access Ollivanders by entering through the Owl Post.

Butterbeer

The unequivocal gotta-have item at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the addictive butterbeer. It comes in two varieties: frozen and non-frozen. Both are delicious, if a bit unusual.
